Important points to consider upon traveling to Iran:

     According to the latest public customs minimum clothing for women is as follows:

  • Thin or Thick scarf to cover some portion of the hair
  • Hands and feet should be covered down to the wrists and ankles
  • Mantua or shirt which is not close-fitting and covers till just above the knees

 

Clothing for men:

  • Wearing sleeveless blouses and shorts are prohibited
  • Pants at least should cover the knees
  • Shirt or T-Shirt  should at least cover the upper part of the arms

Traveling to Iran during the holy month of Ramadan (24 April to 23 May 2020 and 13 April to 12 May 2021).

 Despite the existing negative propaganda, traveling to Iran in Ramadan is absolutely not difficult. If you are traveling to Iran during Ramadan, You should know that only eating and drinking in public places in the cities is prohibited. According to latest traditions eating and drinking out of cities, on roads, and in stopover restaurants are prevalent. In addition, all hotel restaurants, all stopover restaurants and even some of the restaurant in small towns are permitted to serve customers. The penalty for eating and drinking in cities is not foresighted. In case it happens unintentionally and if observed by the respected police, it could just end in an admonition and if repeated, it could result in heavy fines or deportation.
