Moqadam Traditional House/Cafe

      Moqadam Historical House was built during the Qajar period. It belongs to Moqadam family who emigrated to Shushtar for commerce. The house is located in the ancient area of Shushtar in Abdullah Banu district. The site offers all the architectural elements and characteristics of an outstanding Shushtar residence. The traditional Café features include Stone and Brick columns and colorful sash windows that enhance its attraction. In the basement of the Café (Shawadun) an art gallery is held with a cozy atmosphere and cool air ventilation all year round. Shawadun was originally built 10 meters below the ground as a resting area which included an air ventilation area and a by-way for underground communication with surrounding houses. Moqadam Historic House is utilized as a traditional café restaurant and tea house.
